It’s not just a dream. University of Florida is developing a model that can identify the locations most suitable for housing based on criteria we might prioritize and the needs of employers. While we are updating the regional plan, let’s consider whether a regional housing needs plan should be included, and whether the data UF can provide could help us with a methodology to assess the affordable housing impacts of significant developments.

A group interested in the possibilities met on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at NEFRC for a presentation from the University of Florida Shimberg Center for Housing Studies.
