The Northeast Florida Regional Council
is calling for information related to climate change and
its potential impact in Northeast Florida, as recommended
by First Coast Vision. It will gather information, and then
seek input into the implications of the information for
Northeast Florida. It will then make recommendations related
to the need for consideration of regional adaptation and
mitigation policies.
Here is the tentative timeline
for this work:
February and March, 2012: Information
Collection
April, 2012: Information summary with public access to information,
Public input
July, 2012: Close public input, NEFRC staff draft Overview
of data and input
October, 2012: Committee created to make Policy Recommendations
How to provide information or data:
Provide information as an e-mail
attachment to: design@nefrc.org,
with Climate Change Information in the subject line. If
a file is too large to e-mail, you may drop a disc off at
our offices at 6850 Belfort Oaks Place in Jacksonville or
arrange to use our file-sharing system. Call Margo at 904
